Customer Relationship Manager

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Are you an enthusiastic, customer-focused, team player looking for a new challenge? We are looking for a Customer Relationship Manager to join our thriving team in our busy central Birmingham office to gain new customers and to maintain long-term relationships with existing customers.
Working as part of the Customer Relationship Team, this is a key new role that will further develop our work with schools and multi academy trusts.
The job involves:
- Management of the Customer Relationship Team.
- Actively seeking out new sales opportunities.
- Maintaining relationships with existing customers.
- Exhibiting and presenting at conferences and exhibitions.
- Organising face to face visits with schools and multi-academy trusts.
- Ensuring all leads and sales opportunities are followed up in a professional and timely manner.
The successful applicant will need:
- A proven track record in building successful relationships with new and existing customers.
- Confidence in presenting to a wide range of audiences.
- Experience in managing a small team.
- Experience in either the education sector and/or children’s book industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proven ability to prioritise projects and tasks.
- The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- To be results driven, with strong customer focus.
- A high degree of self-motivation.
The details:
- £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
- Hybrid working; 2-3 days in the office
- Car allowance or Company Car available
- Office location: 120 Bromsgrove Street, Birmingham, B5 6RJ.
